Generation Black features Magseal for the prevention of foreign matter entering the reel. By using magnetized oil and magnets, a seal is created on metal surfaces. Being magnetized this lubrication system avoids any friction, reduces dust or water intrusion, eliminating oil spray and improving reel life expectancy

The corrosion resistant Zaion body is incredibly lightweight, infact it’s stronger and lighter than magnesium or alloy. This precision engineering supports the Digigear II drive system that produces smoother rotary efficiency and increased cranking power.

Air Rotor is a revolution in sensitivity. The main principle of the rotor is to support the line roller. When line is pulled instantaneously from the spool to the line roller it creates stress and flexing which is concentrated to the lower section of the rotor. To prevent this, the rotor is made of super strong arch form of the rotor disperses pressure to the entire lower entire section of the rotor, dramatically decreasing stress and flexing.

 For total drag control Generation Black utilizes ATD or Automatic Tournament Drag. The biggest issue with many drag systems is that they are not smooth at the beginning of the drag. ATD rectifies this issue. The ATD drag starts smoothly, and then increases its pressure to its pre-set drag rating in a fraction of a second, thus eliminating line breakage at the strike.
