This is our first blog, and our website is currently under construction as I type. After 106 days under lockdown, this is the first week of “liberation.” Aiden and Rushy are hunting yellowfin off the coast, while Dane and Bronti are holding down the fort today. It’s been amusing to watch the guys become enthusiastic about getting back out there fishing, a bit like watching sharks circling and eager in the chum trail.
Then there’s me, who patiently waits for the team’s and customers’ excitement to subside so I may leave the isolation of lockdowns for the isolation of the bush, going from sitting at home watching Steve, Janis, Bryan from Meat Eater (Netflix) and Profty from Aussie Bush Harvest (YouTube), in the comfort of my own house to sitting alone in the bush waiting for the elusive Sambar. I’m looking forwards to drinking a couple of beers while sitting around a campfire with a hot camp oven. But it can wait until I see you’re ready to return to the Oceans or the Wilderness.


The blog itself?

I’m hoping to interact with you and share our tips, tricks, victories, valuable lessons, and how-to’s. I’ll attempt to make this a regular occurrence, and the store’s fish will have their own blog.(I may need to twist a few arms)

I have no clue how this blog will come out; who knows, perhaps one of you will do it, but till then, as Profty often says, keep the good times natural. I’m also going to steal Molly’s line, “Do yourself a favour” and go watch Aussie Bush Harvest on YouTube. He is one of the rawest and most passionate presenters I have seen.
